Pros of Alloy: Stiffer feel through the swing zone. More durable material and less issues with colder weather. This means it doesn't "sting" when player's grip is not gight enough, it's cold or rainy, or he/she gets jammed inside and low. This is a GREAT Rawlings bat! This has just been in a barrel with some other bats and hockey sticks since purchased 2 years ago and there's a few cosmetic marks to knob from resting on the chain link and just a couple marks but NO DENTS or oenetrating dings, just light use from being one of my kids bats used that season. May even just wipe off with spray cleaner if you like but it us a matte finish and this bat will arrive UV sterilized and clean These are just little marks, no gouges, grooves or dents and original grip IS TRULY A GRIP, clean and complete grip. NO dings or dents - very clean! The grip on the handle shows no noteworthy wear.
