Description: RARE Vtg HAYES PARKER Sandstone CHERUBS Plaster Pillar Candle Holder 1988Size 8.25" high x 7" in width. The circular candle holder base at top is 3" [will hold a 3" diameter pillar candle]. Round base is 5.75" SUPER RARE design handmade by Artist HAYES PARKER of crushed sandstone and plaster, hand molded and finished. This piece is unlike any other Hayes Parker pieces I've seen- the top does not dip down like a deep planter vase with a hollow center, but is specifically made with a FLAT TOP at the top surface to easily and beautifully display a large taper candle. Would also make a great base for a potted plant or vase. See all pics and use zoom. Fabulous design features several cherubs playing musical instruments. There are 6 cherubs, 3 on each side of the mold. This piece is quite versatile- can hold a large pillar candle, a jar candle, or can also be used as a stand for a potted plant or even a vase stand. Excellent condition, No nicks chips cracks scratches or repair. There are slight variations in the finish and in each cherub as this is a handmade, hand poured, and hand finished piece of Art. It is meant to look aged and weathered as part of its charm. The best of the best. Magnificent.Extremely heavy- 6 lbs 8oz Great for a collector- will look beautiful in use or on display.
