Description: This vintage advertising internal neon light-up sign is a rare find for any collector or enthusiast of television memorabilia. The heavy metal case is a beige color , when turned on the glass is black, the lettering is a deep red and the stripes at the top and bottom are blue, the pictures do not show the deep color. The sign has the original on/off switch by Carling . There are brackets on the back which we think it may have been hung up as a display for a store. The sign is very heavy and we think it was made in the 1940s or 1950s',not really sure. It is a great way to showcase your love for classic television and the history of advertising. The sign measures approx. 17" by 7 3/4" deep included back bump out and 4 3/4" tall. We could not find any brand or markings on the sign, could be on the inside. The toggle switch has Carling Hartford Conn. 6A.125v and 3A.250v Cat. 19 on one side and the other has Pat. 1638828 Und. Lab. Insp.. The sign does work, this is how we found it in our Uncle's garage, we are not electricians but it does work, have not checked the wiring but has always worked for us.
