Description: Rare & Original - ONE OF A KIND PRESS PHOTO PACK WITH NEGATIVES from a very important photographer’s estate in Clearwater Florida!! A photo pack extracted from a MASSIVE photographer’s ESTATE in Clearwater Florida. I’m not sure if this was a professional model that was hired by Rose Marie Reid, But it sure looks that way, and wouldn’t be shocking coming from our photographers estate. George Photographed some pretty important people and some very important events over his 70 plus years as a professional photographer. Based on the packet number these photographs were taken in early 1953. You get everything you see here. There are three photographs and three negatives to accompany them. everything is in very good condition in the original packet as found filed in a photo cabinet in the photographers estate. This is a very rare piece of history in my opinion. Being original coming with the negatives. Do look up Rose Marie Reid company if you’re not familiar Marilyn Monroe attributed much of her to success to this designer‘s bathing suits which were extremely popular in 1953. Jewels of the Sea was a very special product line that made this company ultimately very famous and these bathing suits are still sought after today. After cleaning out the 7000 sq ft combination residence & studio by the Clearwater courthouse in 2014, we have been sorting through over 100,000 photographs for the last 10 years, and are finally offering SOME of the best ones up for sale individually. As the estate gains recognition and momentum here, we will begin to list more and more, some in sets, and some for auction as well. Not everything will be sold. We just want to share his work & get it circulated & known. Much of the collection will remain with the curators to share later. We hope to Bring recognition to his life's work as well as to find homes for the history of an entire city as documented by the city photographer. The photographs include everything you would've expected a city photographer to have been present for, from weddings, to new construction, aerial photographs, sporting events, school events, press photography, police, Jaycees, and a really nice , but VERY LIMITED collection of nude photographs, some possibly from a nudist camp that is still in operation here today. Even more limited, there were a handful of war photographs and film that we were able to save, The photos that are being offered here were well preserved, found inside the home and studio, in a cool, dry, cellar type setting.
