Description: This one is a rare one indeed...VERY LITTLE information available on the Hudson Knife Co. except that it was registered under Robert Hartkopf & Co. (Cutlery/Knives) out of Solingen, Germany, c. 1875 & there are records of importing around the 1920s. In my limited research, I was unable to locate the official name of this knife, so "THE FISHERMAN" is a presumed model name given the limited visible letters. CONDITION: One of the scales is broken off in one section. The knife is functional but the slipjoint spring is faulty (if it is a slipjoint) so the blade does not "lock" into place. Of course the blade has wear from use and sharpening, hence the faded logo.
