RARE VINTAGE 1980s Oliver Peoples M-4 XL T-AG 48mm Sunglasses 1st Generation

Description: For sale, a rare, vintage First Generation pair of Antique Gold Oliver Peoples M-4 XL sunglasses with Bausch & Lomb G-15 glass lenses. These are from the original, first release, first generation XL 48mm size production run. In the early Oliver Peoples days, they used lenses from other brands. These have a fantastic pair of vintage Bausch & Lomb G-15 glass lenses installed. You can see the little BL logo etched into the glass in Pictures 7 & 8. The XL frame’s 48mm lens rim width is a little wider and more comfortable than the original first-run M-4 pairs, which had a lens rim width of 46mm. The frame and arms are tight, and the original screws are intact. There is one very tiny chip at the top of the left lens (Pics 9 & 10), one small dot on the right lens (Pic 11), and both lenses have a few very tiny thin scratches, but they are not noticeable when wearing. The inside tips of the arms have some friction fading on the metal from normal wear (Pics 12 & 13), but it is not noticeable when wearing because it is on the inside. I have reduced the listing price to reflect these imperfections. Overall, this pair is in really good condition for being almost 40 years old!The original Oliver Peoples case this pair came with is included, as well as a newer vintage cleaning pouch (Pics 14 - 17). There is a little fading / discoloration on the rear / underside of the case (Pic 15), but it is barely noticeable.
