Description: This is a scarce 1/2 gallon size Economy Sealer 1885 fruit jar that is booked at $500 and up in the new Redbook #13....ECONOMY SEALER PATD SEPT 15TH 1885 boldly emb on front of jar...A big letter C on bottom....Hand blown in mold...ground lip....aqua...half gallon size...8 1/4"tall....Excellent condition with only one chip on top of ground lip; no other damage. A nice clean jar with only a small patch of light haze on back. Bold embossing has been highlighted with white paint which can be removed before sending if you like. I guarantee the emb is nice and bold though. This jar is #908 in Redbook 13. It is booked at $500 and up with no closure like this jar. No original closures are known, so value is for jar without closure...
