If you are a general amber collector, the opportunity to buy some of this is an opportunity you cannot miss!In the photos displayed is an EXAMPLE of what you can expect to receive, except for the first one sold, you will receive similar examples but not these specific ones.Xixia Amber Xixia amber is a Cretaceous amber found primarily in Xixia county in Henan Province in the People's Republic of China. At the time of writing research into this amber type has not been extensive, but it has been determined that it is between 100 million to 85 million years old and that according to chemical analysis, the origin tree of the resin is a tree from the araucariacaea family. Most species of this tree were wiped out at the end of the creteacous, but some survived within the southern hemisphere, and the most well known of these is the Kauri Pine or agathis australis. The age of the amber makes it roughly contemporaneous with Burmese, New Jersey and and North Carolina amber, which at the time of writing I also have in stock. Guaranteed genuine!
