Description: This rare Couroc of Monterey California serving tray is a vintage gem from the 1960s. The rectangular tray features a black finish and is inlaid with a checkered flag and race car design. I am not positive, but I would guess the race car is an old Ferrari. Couroc would have craftsmen inlay shells, wood and metal in the satin black material. I am not sure what material was used to create this inlay but looking at the car the inlay pieces are a coral color making me think it could be coral and not sure about the other colors. This measures 17.5" long, 12" wide and maybe .5" deep. Overall, it is in great condition with no cracks but there are some light scratches so look at the pictures closely to review condition. Depending on how this is displayed, I don't think the scratches will show too bad due to the reflective black coating. Also, I am not positive what material or coating was used in the making of the tray. It is also mentioned on the back label that it is protected from some conditions, but I wouldn't want to test it! I would also wash with warm water. This rare Couroc is a true collector's item and is perfect for anyone who appreciates vintage design or race cars!
