Description: Maker and age: This lovely little shamrock teapot is by the incomparable Irish porcelain producer Belleek. It has the green 5th mark that was in use from 1955 to 1965. Design: The kettle shaped teapot with its distinctive branch motif handle is part of the Shamrock pattern, which has been produced in various versions since 1926 and is still in production. The pretty embossed basketweave design and incredibly thin and translucent porcelain give the teapot a wonderful appeal. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. Size and capacity: The teapot is about 5 1/2 inches tall at the center of the handle, 2 3/4 inches wide at the top and about 6 inches long. It weighs 12.9 ounces and holds 3 cups, filled right to the top. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
