Description: Rare antique Georgian dollhouse / architectural model c 1830 -1840. This house is quite interesting as it could have been made as a dollhouse, but it is quite narrow so it could also have been created as an architectural model. I am assuming that it is English in origin. The building features a large circular pediment frame in the center which probably housed a clock or some type of decorative piece originally. There is a door (they do not open) on both sides as well as an equal number of windows. The house has two chimneys and is fenced around the front. The top of the house is open to the bottom behind the central pediment and is open as well on one side of the chimney where both sides of the roof meet. The outside front of the house has been hand painted to mimic brick. The back of the house opens up via two hinged panels. One side is missing it's wooden closure and the other has been reinforced more recently with a modern screw. Each side opens up to one narrow plain wooden room. Please note that this house is very old and does have a few flaws to note. There are a few tiny woodworm holes on the front as well as a few cracks in the wood, there is a tiny piece of wood missing from the corner of one of the chimneys, one of the back panels is missing it's wooden closure piece (It can be closed without it) and the other closure piece is secured with a modern screw. None of the windows are cracked. The house measures 18 1/2" in length, 11" in height and 5 1/4" in depth. Each room measures 6 3/4" in length and 3" in depth
