RARE 1930s Casey Jones 8OZ Brand Selvedge Denim Workwear Overalls Small Size

Description: RARE 1930s Casey Jones 8OZ Brand Selvedge Denim Workwear Overalls W36 L26. Sanforized cone deep tone denim work overalls with the signature Casey Jones train buttons. These overalls are not perfect. They have a big tear on the front left leg. They have paint splatters, fading, discoloration, and wear throughout that all add to their character. There is a small hole on the butt just below the back left pocket. The straps are in need of some repairs. Although they are attached/sturdy where they meet the back, they need some fabric/new buttons holes to secure to the bib (see photos). The front top left corner of the bib is also missing the train button and has been hand repaired at some point. Original pearl buttons were added on the inside of the bib. Nice selvedge on the insides of both pockets. The bottom of the leg has also been hand stitched suggesting the inseam has been slightly altered shorter. Beautiful contrasted stitching throughout. A really neat piece of denim history. The denim is very strong/sturdy throughout and these could easily be wearable again with a bit of stabilization. Please double check all photos and measurements. MEASUREMENTS:waist: 18" hips: 23"inseam: 26" (L26)leg opening: 9" I tried these on as a W31 and they fit me snug. Perhaps best fitting W30 & under. Please understand it is best to size up for overalls. Despite measuring 18" across the waist, these fit smaller due to the length of the inseam and also the height of the bib.
