After his death in 1910, the collection was donated to local institutions where it has sat for the last 100+ years with small additions being made by family members in later years. The collection covers many styles of works over numerous centuries so be sure to check back regularly for new listings. This listing is for a rare original 17th century engraving of John Calvin done by engraver Peter Stent and published by John Overton. It is trimmed just outside the impression and measures about 9.25” x 6.75”. There appears to be an old notation under the image with Calvin’s life dates. On the back there is a pencil notation stating that this print is included in Goodspeed’s Catalog of Prints. #0093 We are happy to combine postage for multiple purchases .
