Description: Radio Flyer Lowering Kit for Model 18 Wagons, this is for a prototype skid plate with latest axle style design. Plate has minor dents and imperfections from fabrication and testing. See photos for exact details of skid plate. (Images with yellow background are reference of non prototype kit.) Condition listed as used due to more ware and tear on skid plate than a new plate would have. Still has brand new hardware and axle towers too. Skid plate functions just fine but is a slightly different shape and has 2 bend marks instead of 1 on each side of the skid plate nose area. See images for details that differ from general description below. Kit still holds up 150 pounds and functions in much the same way. (Hint: Mounting the pan to the skid plate is the very last step before you're ready to test it out.) Basic hand tools, wrench, screw driver, hex key (drill and drill bit if mounting an alternate wagon brand.) _______________________________________________________________Description: This is a custom made lowering kit for the Radio Flyer model 18 wagon with the wide pan lip and all the parts needed to lower your own Radio Flyer. This comes with all the parts needed to lower your own Radio Flyer but does not come with any of the Radio Flyer parts. This kit uses aluminum for the skid plate and rear axle holders with a stainless rear axle shaft and zinc plated steel nuts. The rear axles also have an open design to help prevent debris and water from collecting in a pocket. The care put into this design has created a lowering kit that will outlast the Radio Flyer Wagon, so long as it doesn't get ran over, but if you are in need of replacement parts message us and we can get you what you need. The entire assembly can be flipped over to create a flatbed wagon for those bulky items. The weight limit is 150 lbs due to the fact the plastic bearing of the Radio Flyer wheels are not designed for any heavier loads. We put in the extra effort to test multiple materials and thicknesses and keep it light weight to create our lowering kits with a turning radius of less than 6 feet. Most of our comparisons are between our 3/16" steel plate prototype and our old axle design from our first generation lowering kit that also used 1/4" aluminum as the main plate. The new 2021 style axle mounts still bolt directly to our older 2018 and 2015 skid plates, no drilling or other modifications needed. Other customers have modified their kit or radio flyer parts to work with the Ranger Wagon, All Terrain Wagon and other brands of wagons.
