This indicates this knife was hand made in the 2nd half of 1993 at Puma Werks in Solingen, Germany.This knife was made to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Winchester Model 1894 Repeating Rifle, 1894-1994. There were 1894 produced and are rare.This is a chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history. The blade is German stainless steel. The finger guard is German silver. The handle is genuine walnut with two polished silver pins. The walnut handle also has the famous Winchester Rifle inlayed in the handle. The knife with Winchester blade etching has a beautiful walnut scales and carries a silver inlay on one side with the legendary Winchester rifle. This knife was issued in 1993. The knife comes in a Puma wooden presentation box with green velvet lining.This knife measures 10 5/8" overall with a 6 3/8" blade. The knife comes with the original Puma leather sheath. The blade is etched: WINCHESTER.The knife includes the "Puma Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The Puma knife comes with the original factory Puma tan leather sheath. The 6396 bowie knife has been kept out of the sheath.
