David J. Perreault is Ford Professor of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with over 25 years of experience in power electronics research and teaching. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, and a member of the US National Academy of Engineering. George C. Verghese is Henry Ellis Warren Professor of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with over 40 years of research and teaching experience. He is an MIT MacVicar Faculty Fellow for outstanding contributions to undergraduate education, and a Fellow of the IEEE. Martin F.
