Description: An extremely fine and rare Portuguese Silver Cup, about the size of a julup, but narrower at the base and wider at the mouth. Marks for the city of Oporto, Portugal about 1840. Condition is excellent; no imperfections to report. Floral incuse and low-profile repousse decoration. Beautiful, clean, charming. There is a cartouche designed for a monogram- but the cup was never monogrammed. I love them when they are like this. 3 1/4" high; 3 3/8" wide at the mouth. 4.35 ozt.
