Robert Clive, 1st Baron Clive was Major general, British Governor of the Bengal Presidency, Military leader, Commander-in-Chief of India, East India Company official, Colonial Governor, "Clive of India", and Credited for laying the foundation of the British East India Company rule in Bengal.
