P. subincisum is an excellent grower- both indoors and out. It is a hardy plant that never disappoints. The perfect choice if you are looking for that big-leafed tropical look! Probably the best of the big-leaf Philodendrons, P. subincisum is easy to grow and will reward you with large heart-shaped glossy leaves that can get up to 4 feet in length! It also grows rather quickly. So the first few photos for examples of this species both indoors and out. P subincsium is a climber, and although it can grow on the ground in a mounding form, eventually it will find something to start climbing up... that's when the leaves will get really big.Indoors, you will want to give it a nice sturdy totem to climb- we recommend a big PVC pipe wrapped in burlap, since it will need to hold some weight and not decay in the soil.A really FUN Philodendron to grow- this one also has a bit of cold hardiness- we've had it get into the high 30's without any real issues, and only some leaf yellowing in the high 20's. Below that, you will want to protect it or bring it indoors until the weather warms up. Outdoors, it can take part shade or sun, but it will look it's best if not in an all day full cooking sun if you are in a warm climate.
