VINTAGE PFALTZGRAFF YORKTOWNE LARGE SOUP TUREEN & LID (No. 160Y) ~ This auction is for a wonderful vintage Pfaltzgraff soup tureen with a notched lid and tab handles. This is one of the earlier productions of Pfaltzgraff Yorktowne as evidenced by the large castle mark with the letter "P" inside that is impressed on the bottom. This mark was used before 1977. This Soup Tureen has been discontinued.The tureen measures approximately 8 inches tall from the top of the lid to the bottom and about 10 inches wide from handle to handle. It has an open slot for a ladle. (No ladle included.) It is quite heavy weighing a little over 5 pounds. From the Estate of a Prolific Collector who collected rather than used.
