Description: These markings might more accurately be described as mechanical handstamps. They were used in many small to midsized cities starting in 1900. Clear, complete impressions are the exception. While a few cities used the devices for many years, many others used the devices sparingly and their markings are markedly scarce. Expect small faults on covers and cards that are over 100 years old. I have an extensive stock of Perfection markings. Please let me know if you are looking for something that I haven't listed.
