Description: For sale is a perfect matching pair or Antique primitive wrought Iron Alpine Candle holders. These two Alpine Candle holders are very finely ornamented with their numerous twists and scrollings. They have the classic heart shaped drip pans. Alpine candle holders were made in the 1700's to the early 1800's. They used the principle of spring leverage to hold candles in place. Acquired from a high end New England Auction House. At 20" tall and 7" wide for each one, these make a stunning display. A very desirable item for collectors of wrought iron and early lighting.
