Description: I have for sale a Canadian medal for the 1900 Paris, France International Exposition. The medal is bronze, it is two inches in diameter and in AU condition. The medalist was P. Hebert and it was struck at the Paris Mint. The obverse at the rim reads LE CANADA ESTUNE NATION - J.I. TARTE COMMISSAIRE GENERAL. In the center it has the bust of J. Israel Tarte. The reverse at the rim reads EXPOSITION INTERNATIONAL - PARIS 1900. In the center it shows a Beaver perched on a branch. Also in the center it list the Canadian commissioners names - COMMISSAIRES - J.X. PERRAULT - J.C. JARDINE - LT. COL. F. F. GOURDEAU - W.D. SCOTT - SECRETAIRE - L.A. CUSSON.
