The intricate wood statue was carved from a single piece of wood, and is a symbol or virility and courage. The figure is 47" tall and is adorned with necklaces made of shells. It is a carving of a man, standing on the shoulders of another man (his ancestor), with a bird (flamingo?) standing behind both male figures. It is an original piece or art from the Pacific Islands & Oceania culture This piece was used as a finial decoration for the men's house. It was attached to the highest point of the house. It is perfect for any ethnographic or antique collector looking for a unique and original piece. The stunning statue is a unique addition to any collection.
