Description: Gorgeous Antique Wall Lamps Very well made set of 2Excellent RESTORED condition! These are original solid brass gas and electric fixtures from the early 1900's. They have updated wiring to the original Edison sockets and are working well. The shade holders are by Hubbell and have patent dates of 1903 and 1904The gas uranium glass candle on the top of each can be used for gas again, or just to enjoy as a decorative conversation piece (they glow under black light!). These are from the era when homes were converting over to electric, but they still wanted gas as a backup option since electricity wasn't always reliable. One sconce is vertical straight up and down, the other is at a slight diagonal - they are matching, but with a difference in angleThe glass shades have no chips or cracks. The brass has no cracks. Each fixture uses one standard-base light bulb up to 60 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like while using low wattage. Light bulbs and wall mount screws not included.
