Description: Owens-Illinois Co 1938 Mr Boston Cream De Menthe Patented #D-887945 Bottle W Stopper. From my research this is the best available information. This appears to be from Mr. Boston and used to bottle Creme de Menthe. The markings on the bottom of the bottle confirm the manufacturer and the date. This art deco bottle from 1938 is definitely different. It's Eiffel Tower design originally had a metal cap to store it's liqueur but it now has a beautiful ground and polished multifaceted stopper. I am not sure if this was an original addition to use after opened for use as a decanter or added later. It is ground to fit and is the exact same color. It also has initials etched into the bottom of the stopper. This bottle is As-is as it does have a chip out of the top of it. Please see pictures. Mr. Boston was known for their collectible bottles and this was definitely a prize as well as being hard to find information on.
