Description: This is a great collection of 18 wood shaft and two steel shaft putters dating from 1898-1930. Eight are from Scotland, six are from England and six are from the U.S. There are three wooden head putters - a longer head model made by Albert Tingay who apprenticed for Tom Morris , a Wilson Kelley Club and an Otto Hackbarth model with the patent date of "Oct 21 1919" stamped on the crown. The Kelley Club and Hackbarth both have brass faces and brass back weights. Ther are a couple pairs of putters included - Cassidy Vee putters which are identical other than one has a steel shaft and the other a hickory shaft - Gibson Star Maxwell putters virtually identical except one is a mans model and the other is stamped for ladies. Also included is a Gibson Civic model that has 24 holes drilled through the head, a Hendry & Bishop Per Whit Overspin putter and an Otto Hackbarth aluminum head putter with a bifurcated hosel.
