Historical context: In the last quarter of the 19th century, probably the first boat appeared in Roudnice Nad Labem (or N.L.) whose purpose we know was, in today's terms, sporting. It was a real Indian canoe, which he brought from America, according to some, or obtained from America, according to others, but he certainly tried it on the Labe river near Roudnice for the first time in Bohemia, the enlightened pharmacist from Roudnice, Ph. Mr. Ferdinand Zinke. That was in 1875.Here you can search for the first beginnings of sports sailing in Roudnice N.L..In 1935, Bohumil Sykora, a citizen of Roudnice at the time, built the first, still unclassified, sailboat. During the war, the first three class sailboats - the Olympic Jolas - were built in the coffin workshop of the then owners of the funeral home, the Muller brothers. The group of people interested in yachting is growing, so in 1949 the local organization Sokol is asked to include it in its ranks as a new yachting section. In the fall of 1962, a significant event took place - the championship of the Republic of Motorboats was organized, at which the Muller brothers from Roudnice won two championship titles.Since that year, due to the great success in their organization, motorboat races have been held in Roudnice every year. In 1967, this race it was held as a European Championship for the first time on the territory of the then Czechoslovakia and in June 1969 even as a World Championship (Ycrroudnicenl) Shipping and handling details: all items are shipped as a registered shipments with tracking number and insurance on purchase price.
