Lopez Canito is an artist specialized in bullfighting themes, born in Madrid, in the district of Las Ventas in 1942. He has designed numerous posters in Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, and Ecuador. He has also authored numerous bullfighting calendars and illustrations for magazines such as ‘El Ruedo’ and ‘El Taurino gráfico’. This is framed in wood and stretched and mounted professionally, but the frame shows age. This was painted in 1996, so this is 27 years old. It could use a good professional cleaning to bring out the vibrant white. The colors in this are fantastic and beautiful. The canvas and paint is in good shape. For my taste, I would reframe in black to give this a fresh look, but this can hang immediately. The scenery is amazing and the bulls are realistic and striking. Very sharp.
