Description: Original (1949) "Ava Gardner" Paper Dolls, Authorized Edition, By Whitman #965-10 in Used Condition. This Paper Doll Set Includes the Original (Partial) Front & Back Covers. Both Covers are complete except for the two sections where the two dolls were punched out. The Front Cover has (1) Crease & (2) Tears. The Two Tears have been Mended, on the Inside, with Linen Tape (SEE Above Photo #2 for Best Description on where to find these) The Back Cover has a Bottom Crease and no tears. Both Covers and the Spine are in Good Vintage Condition, especially for their age!!! The Booklet measures Approx. 12 3/4" x 10 1/2 ". This Paper Doll Set is Complete, except for 1 Missing Hat. There are (2) Punched Out Dolls that are in Good Used Vintage Condition. The Black Suited Doll has (2) Ankle Creases and (1) Neck Crease, reinforced, on the backside, with matching paper doll cardboard (SEE Above Photo #4). The White Suited Doll has (1) Neck Crease, reinforced, on the backside, with Paper Doll Cardboard. She, also, has a Crease 1/2 inch above the knee. There a penciled name along with smudgy light red crayon on the back. Both Dolls are Lovely and still look good from the front. SEE Above Photo for Best Description!!! Each Doll has her own wardrobe and there are many Beautiful Outfits to choose from. ALL the Clothes and Accessories are in Good Used Condition with Tabs intact. I didn't see any Tears but there may be some minor wrinkles or other minor imperfections. The Fronts Sides, of the clothing, look Bright & Colorful and the Backs Sides have light age-toning. This "nostalgic" original & nearly complete paper doll set (except for 1 missing hat) would make a beautiful addition to any paper doll collector!!!
