Description: For sale is a are 1 Krone 1942. These notes are called "London Notes" as they were made in London by Waterlow & Sons Ltd on behalf of the Norwegian Government in exile during WWII. They were supposed to be used in case of an allied invasion into Norway to liberate the country from the German occupation. Following the German capitulation, that invasion never happened. However, some of these notes were nevertheless put in circulation shortly after the allied troops arrived in Norway, but the Norwegian government canceled these after only a few days.
