Description: Pair early 1800's Sheffield Plate candlesticks. 9 3/4" tall with a 4 1/2" wide base. Under old felt are remnants of iron and pitch for weight. No real copper bleed but overall copper shimmer. I can polish these with my finger sans polish or cloth so they will shine up easily. Under one of the fixed bobeches are the following hand inscribed numbers: 174418. These date from the late 18th to early 19th century. All good. As pictured.
