Product Description: This offering is for a new-old-stock (NOS) Shimano Deore XT left crankarm (Model FC-M737) that measures 165 mm in length. The crankarm is made from a forged aluminum alloy, so it should be fairly strong/durable and hold up well under most conditions. The date code stamped on the backside of the crankarm indicates a mid 90's model, so during the period when the Deore XT drivetrain was an 8-speed index (or as Shimano used to call it, "SIS") shifting drivetrain. I can also confirm this is a high-end crankarm, but not top-end, as the Shimano XTR groupset had been rolled out a few years earlier. Other specs worth noting include the English threaded pedal hole for a 9/16" spindle and the square-tapered opening for a bottom bracket with a JIS tapered spindle. Please also note we are not including a bottom bracket spindle length requirement with this offering, because this spec is more critical to the right crankarm...so the desired spindle length will depend on the intended right crankarm match. The finish is a nice polished silver and I see little in the way of shopwear.
