Description: This is a brand new Dome Lens for Model 60 Duncan Parking meters. These Lens are new USA made not old stock in storage for years. These are the same lenses I have selling since 2001 and used on all my rebuilt Model 60 Parking meters.They are made from polycarbonate plastic formulation to resist ageing & degrading. This is the same material used in prescription glasses and safety glasses and modern automotive head lights because of the high clarity and impact strength. Polycarbonate has 250 times the impact strength of glass. It is 30 times a strong as acrylic (which is used in storm doors). It can be molded in very tight tolerances, is impact resistance, transmits 88 % of visible light and almost as distortion free as glass. One inherent problem with polycarbonate is it is affected by environmental conditions and degrades and fades with time. Look at 5 year old auto headlights all faded and discolored. That’s why 3M makes kits to rejuvenate the old headlights. Plastics do not last a lifetime. Because of the high quality of this Lens I can guarantee a clear & perfect fit.
