Excellent. According to Myler, "The Myler Bristol w/ Roller mouthpiece is a good starting bit, working off the tongue and bars. It is a kinder bit than the traditional Snaffle for downward pressure is more evenly distributed across the tongue. The copper roller works well with busy-mouthed horses." This bit is measured (5") with the center slightly raised as it would sit in the horse's mouth. It measured 5 1/4" if measured flat (see last photos). The bars of the mouth are coated in sweet iron. Sweet Iron is designed to rust, creating a pleasant taste for the horse to increase bit acceptance. The copper in the roller helps to promote salivation to make the horse's mouth softer and more responsive. "Mylers" and "Toklat" and are marked on the inside of the rings. This bit is used but in excellent condition. It has some marks from normal use, but nothing that should affect its performance in any way. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being new, mint condition, I would give this bit a 9. A very nice quality bit!
