A novel in which the dead rise up to terrorise an immoral city. Condition: Between good and very good. Light wear and soiling; slight forward spine lean; corners nicked; hinges partially cracked with some slackness; markings to fep; interior clean; binding generally firm apart from hinges. The photographs are the most reliable guide to condition. Context: An early edition which simply states the date with no reference to the prior printings held by British libraries. Most probably the book was issued in several tranches using the same sheets with different cloth options. This binding would presumably have been more expensive than the plain navy blue cloth variant. An uncommon title and attractive book which describes how the reanimated dead rise up in response to the immoral behaviour of the living.
