Description: Here's a beautiful tabletop sculpture by William and Bruce Friedle, who had a metal sculpting studio and showroom in Greenwich VIllage, NYC during the 60's. They are credited with creating the original starburst wall sculptures that have been copied through the years. I don't know the name of the plant that this sculpture represents, but some gardener out there must. It's made of torch-cut brass and fully signed. It sits on a cast aluminum base. The sculpture is somewhat kinetic and will move slightly with a breeze or a shake. Quite elegant. 11 1/4" tall x @10 1/2" at it's widest. Check pics and enlarge as they are part of the description. Follow me or check back often as I am in the process of liquidating my vast collection of mid-century, modernist and country furnishings, modernist jewelry and folk, outsider and modernist art, listing new stuff frequently.
