Description: Mini artificial bromeliad plant. This was hand constructed. All material are real touch or natural feel. A little creation of my own. Something different, but new. It was created on a styrofoam disc that measures about 4" in diameter by about 2" thick and about 13" tall. It was designed this way to allow you to use your own container. Many folks say they look nice as is. THIS BROMELIAD IS NOT PLASTIC.IN CREATING IT, IT WAS FIRST MADE FROM FABRIC MATERIALS AND THEN HAND DIPPED INTO A POLIMER COATING SEVERAL TIMES TO GIVE THAT NATURAL FEEL. IT IS THE SAME POLIMER COATING USED IN ALL REAL TOUCH OR NATURAL FEEL FLOWERS. IT ALL STARTS WITH FABRIC FLOWERS. THE LEAVES ARE A MIXTURES OF POLYESTERS. SEVERAL BROMELIADS ARE OFFERED ON THE INTERNET AND MOST OF THEM HAVE RUBBER LEAVES. THEIR FLOWERS ARE THE SAME MATERIAL. YES, IT HAS A SHINNY LOOK. COMPARE IT TO THE REAL PLANT THAT HAS A WAXY COATING ON THE FLOWER PART WHICH MAKES IT SHINNY. I GROW THESE HERE IN FLORIDA. I HAVE SEARCHED ALL OVER THE GOOD QUALITY BROMELIADS.
