Description: Oh my goodness - this mid-century Harvell wicker and metal trash can is as fancy as can be! I know that my Grandmother had something similar in her pink tiled bathroom, when I was a little girl. Now it belongs along side your turntable and other mid-century bar décor items! This is a timeless design, with an MCM twist. The black painted metal trash bin is wrapped in wicker with an intricate design. The wicker is then painted glossy black. There is a stylized silver star on the front. This piece is completely original, I can see no evidence of any touch up on the paint. The top and bottom rim are black and the base is red. There are paint scuffs on the top rim and surface rusting and scuffing on the inside but little to no loss in the paint around the wrapped portion of the trash bin. There are surface dings and dents on the bottom and one fairly large dent in the back that dented the metal interior but the wicker is unblemished. The embossed HARVELL brand is clearly marked on the bottom of the can. My research found bins from this brand in the 1950s to fetch quite high prices. This design, and use of the wicker wrap, appears to be more rare as I did not find a similar item in my research. So excited when I found this for my customers; it shows its age and usage, but so unique! Dimensions: 11 3/4” tall x 10 3/4” wide x 7” from front to back
