The quatrefoil is the ancient symbol for good luck. The word is derived from Latin roots and means four leaves. (Think four-leaf clover!) In Native American culture, the four leaves of the quatrefoil symbolize the four ends of the earth, much like the points on a compass, North, South, East, and West. Measures roughly 58 mm x 16 mm. There is minimal to no tesserae loss in any of the mosaics that I can detect (the tiny handmade glass tile pieces). I have added new 14K gold filled lever back hooks, 14K gf hand-wrapped wire, faceted hand-wrapped light green peridot and two genuine freshwater pearl drops so these lovely earrings can be enjoyed today.
