Description: Very nice Meuse Argonne offensive map, coming from a French officer. It measures 75 cm X 105 cm. It shows Verdun area. The trenches are in blue and red. There are a lot of details materialized : trenches names, shelters, telephone exchange. No tape. Before the Meuse Argonne offensive, a lot of French maps have been given to American officers. The officer added trenches on the right. Behind it he drew a sketch and made a plan of the Vacherauville trenches. Dated 1917. Very hard to find.
