Description: Here's an extremely attractive never used/never inked fountain pen in still in its original box and from the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM of ART. The design of this pen is inspired by the work of the 18th century goldsmith to the French court, Georges Antoine Croze. The design of the pen is after a superbly crafted etui by Croze in the museum collection. This pen is just over 5-1/2" long and is crafted of gold overlay and lacquer. The base color is blue and this is covered with golden scallops with dots of red and blue within each. It has deep blue transparent cabochons at each end. It is a cartridge/converter filled pen and a converter is installed in the pen . The nib is a plated steel two-toned German nib of firm medium width, so marked. The pen comes in a pretty deep purple lacquered wooden box and protective black cardboard outer box.
