Description: ~ Description ~ Missouri River Sewing Pattern Eastern Hunting Shirt Includes sizes Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large ~ Item for sale is a sewing pattern, not a finished garment ~ Missouri River sewing pattern number 4799-500-025. The pattern is uncut and complete with instructions. Shirts of this style known today as the Eastern Longhunter Hunting Shirt were used well throughout the 1700s and into the early 1800s. Most men wore them over the one or more regular shirts that they wished to keep clean, and so these Hunting Shirts are quite roomy. Please Note: Because these are over-shirts, each size is approximately 2 sizes larger than a regular shirt. The pullover style, sometimes referred to as a wagoner's frock, is from the French and Indian Wars period in the 1750s-60s, while the Open Front style had gained popularity by the Revolutionary War of the 1770s. These both were worn by working class people, including farmers, hunters, and militiamen. The material was not heavy, often either linen or a linen blend, and the garment may have been left plain or dyed with native dyes, such as walnut hulls. ~ Payment ~~ Shipping ~ If you are purchasing more than 1 item from me, please request a single invoice with combined postage before sending payment. ~ Thank you for shopping with me! ~ Packages are mailed promptly and buyers are sent confirmation of shipment. ** Please allow extra delivery time for postal delays that are out of my control. templette
