Description: These handsome cowls are handmade in UK from polished BRASS sheet, the originals are tin plate, turn very rusty and or get damaged - I have shown a comparison with my usual stainless one in my pictures - look at the difference! This listing is for one brass cowl only. This cowl is for the MEC1 Meccano engine with the yellow painted base, please note if yours has whistle this will not fit, as the holes for the whistle are in a different position on the boiler - if there is any doubt message me with your dimensions before you order. My brass cowl will add lustre to your restoration especially if you are polishing the boiler. The stainless cowl shown in the pictures is not part of this sale just to shown the difference
