Description: Beautiful mid-century Japanese china by Sone. In the style of an ink-wash painting, the pattern is the picture of serenity. It is a mountain and valley landscape with a bridge and pagoda artfully installed among the plant life and geologic features. Emulating the harmony of design and nature, the pattern consists of earth tones on a gentle white background. It is finished with a delicate glaze and gold trim. Each piece is marked on the reverse with Sone, 1963. This discontinued, vintage pattern is called Kiyomizu and sets an exquisite table. Two place settings. Each place setting consists of four pieces: a dinner plate, salad plate, bread plate, and soup bowl. Note the absence of teacups, saucers, and dessert bowls. In a place setting, there is one of each of the following:-Dinner Plate (DPM1), size: 10 5/8in-Salad Plate (SP), size: 7 7/8in-Bread Plate (BB), size 6 1/4in-Coup Soup Bowl (SOC), size: 7 5/8in I also have five more place settings with dessert bowls available, as well as a service set consisting of a sugar bowl and two vegetable bowls. All in very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use and free of chips, cracks, or crazing.
