Description: This listing is for a rare Marietta cast iron gate marked chicken fryer/ camp pot with an attached "cold handle". The handle is factory (foundry) made as I have seen numerous of their glue pots with the same handle. I see no cracks in the cast iron, though it does have the nice relief lines that the really old cast iron pieces have. I can't read what's embossed on the bottom after "MARIETTA" but it looks to read CP CO. Evidently this company had different makings, I saw one that said Marietta Pa. Casting Company, so not sure what the CP stands for. The No.8 on the bottom looks to have another 8 or a "ghost" 8, I don't think it means 88 but I'm not sure. Please look closely at the photos I have posted as they can tell you more than I can describe. I am selling the items USED and AS IS.
