Description: This is a rare autographed April 1st, 1951 "Playgoer" playbill from the National Tour engagement of the MAE WEST comedy "DIAMOND LIL" at the Geary Theatre in San Francisco, California. (The production opened February 5th, 1949 at the Coronet Theatre, but suspended performances February 26th, 1949 when Miss West broke her ankle. The show reopened September 7th, 1949 at the Plymouth Theatre and ran for 182 performances before going on tour. Following this tour and a summer hiatus, the production returned to New York's Broadway Theatre on September 14th, 1951 for an additional 67 performances.) ..... The play starred the legendary MAE WEST (who signed the front cover) and featured CHARLES G.
