Description: 20 GA SKB Side by Side Butt Stock – Ithaca Model 280 This is an original English grip butt stock for a 20ga Ithaca Model 280 Side by Side. This is a standard grade American Walnut stock. The stock is hand checkered and fitted with an early factory Pachmayr butt pad and brass engraving plate. This is an early production stock with a matte polyurethane finish and hand painted grain lines. There are no structural cracks in the wood. This is a used stock. The stock has some minor scratches and other small indentations from storage or shipping. The 1975 Ithaca catalog gives the following stock dimensions: ENGLISH STYLE STRAIGHT GRIP Length of Pull. (LOP) = 14 inches Drop at Comb ( DAC) = 1 ½” Drop at Heel ( DAH) = 2 5/8” This stock will also fit the SKB Model 385 English style and the SKB Model 280, due to the similar style trigger guards used in both production periods. This stock will require fitting by a qualified gunsmith to insure proper inletting and engagement around the receiver and the long trigger guard return of the English style stocks.
