Description: ''The Three Fools" is a Bulgarian satirical animated series of 11 short films created between 1970's and 1990's by Donyo Donev. Donev is the author of the characters and the director of the films. Authors of the scenarios are Donyo Donev, Anastas Pavlov, Georgi Chavdarov, Dimo Bolyarov. The work uses typical means of expression for Donev: simplified background and lines, deformed speech, interjections, musical accompaniment of drums and bagpipes. The lively animation style is the work of animator Antoni Trayanov. The series was a great success. Each of the episodes has been awarded at least one international award. In 1992, the humorous and satirical newspaper "The Three Fools" was founded, named after the characters from the film, whose editor-in-chief is also Donyo Donev.
