Description: Here we have a 1936 265E and matching 265W whistle Tender For Restoration. When I got it, it was very dirty and didn't run. 1. The engine. I have cleaned the motor and rebiilt the reversing unit with new fingers. It will need a new cab, replacements are available. One pick up roller is gone. The headlight is rewired and the bulb works. It needs a whole set of drive rods, on both sides. It appears that all the trim pieces are present, however. 2. The tender. The cast support that holds the coil assembly was broken off. A new sheet metal bracket has been added to support the coil. I thought I had the whistle working perfectly. It works when its the engine is moving, but in neutral it does't all the time. Just a minor adjustment on the contacts I would say. I went back and forth on whether to sell this or send it out for restoration. If it doesn't sell I probably will.
